Red alert: the full plot, ending included. Haven't watched yet?REVEAL SYNOPSIS
Voyager finds a new home for three of the former Borg children with the Wysanti, leaving only Icheb aboard. Soon afterwards Seven begins to malfunction. She assumes an ocular implant is failing, but the Doctor discovers that her cortical node is deteriorating. Unable to regenerate, she grows steadily worse, collapsing as Borg implants fail and new ones break through her skin. Janeway, Paris and Tuvok travel to a Borg debris field and salvage a replacement node, only to find that it is incompatible. Icheb, who was never fully assimilated, offers his own. Seven refuses to let him take the risk, until Icheb deliberately disengages his node to force the issue. The transplant succeeds. Seven thanks Icheb and offers to help him prepare for Starfleet Academy.
