Red alert: the full plot, ending included. Haven't watched yet?REVEAL SYNOPSIS
Voyager rescues an injured Hirogen hunter from his damaged vessel and discovers that his quarry was a member of Species 8472, the beings even the Borg feared. The creature, also wounded, gets aboard Voyager, and Chakotay allows the hunter to help track it. Tuvok makes telepathic contact with the creature and learns that it is stranded and wants only to go home. Janeway decides to help it return to its own realm through a singularity, but more Hirogen ships arrive, led by a formidable alpha hunter who demands his prize. Seven, who sees Species 8472 purely as a deadly threat, refuses Janeway's order to help. When the hunter and the creature fight aboard ship, Seven takes matters into her own hands and beams them across to the Hirogen, condemning the creature to death. Furious, Janeway strips Seven of most of her access to ship's systems, and the two clash over obedience and compassion.
