Red alert: the full plot, ending included. Haven't watched yet?REVEAL SYNOPSIS
Voyager discovers a micro-wormhole, only about 30 centimetres across, that leads to the Alpha Quadrant. A probe sent through makes contact with a Romulan ship, whose captain, Telek R'Mor, is suspicious and at first refuses to help. Janeway's personal appeal wins him over, and he agrees to pass on the crew's messages to their families. When Torres finds a way to transport people through the wormhole, R'Mor volunteers to beam aboard Voyager to test it. Then comes a crushing discovery: the wormhole crosses time as well as space, and R'Mor comes from twenty years in the past. Bringing the crew home would alter history, so R'Mor returns alone, promising to deliver their messages when the time is right. Later, Tuvok discovers that R'Mor died four years before Voyager left the Alpha Quadrant, leaving the crew to wonder whether the messages were ever passed on.
