Red alert: the full plot, ending included. Haven't watched yet?REVEAL SYNOPSIS
The freighter Arcos explodes near Turkana IV, and its crew are taken hostage by one of the warring gangs that rule the failed colony, birthplace of the late Tasha Yar. Leaders of a rival faction, the Coalition, offer help, and Ishara Yar, Tasha's younger sister, is sent to guide the rescue. She quickly wins the crew's trust, especially Data's, as he hopes to find something of his friend in her. Ishara even hints that she might join Starfleet. But during the rescue she reveals her real goal: to use the mission to disable the rival Alliance's defences for the Coalition. Data is forced to stun her when she turns her weapon on him. Picard sends her back to the planet, and Data later reflects that the betrayal has left him with a feeling he cannot name.
- 01The 80th TNG episode, making the series longer-running than the original's 79 episodes. A party was held during filming to mark it.
