Reunion

Ambassador K'Ehleyr returns, bringing a young boy, Alexander, who she reveals is Worf's son. She is escorting Chancellor K'mpec, who has been slowly poisoned. Before he dies, K'mpec asks Picard to act as Arbiter of Succession and to find his killer among the two candidates for leader, Gowron and Duras. K'mpec then dies, and a bomb disrupts the succession ceremony. Worf, still bound by his dishonour, refuses to tell K'Ehleyr why, so she digs into the Klingon records and finds that Duras's family, not Worf's, betrayed the Empire at Khitomer. Duras kills her before she can expose him. Worf finds her dying, then claims the right of vengeance and kills Duras in combat. Gowron takes power. Picard formally reprimands Worf, who sends Alexander to be raised by his own adoptive parents.
