The Devourer of All Things, Part II

In Wesley's 1960s-style safe house, the crew shelter from the Loom, which cannot reach them while his time portal stays shut. Wesley reveals his plan to send them through time, though his calculations are missing something. Janeway sends an away team led by Tysess to the planet, with Maj'el along because of her telepathic link to Zero. The mission goes badly: the Loom erase Ensign Middleton from existence, and only Janeway works out what has happened. Maj'el finds Zero but is cornered by the Loom, and Dal opens the portal to rescue her, exposing their refuge. Janeway leads a daring rescue to buy them time. Wesley realises Maj'el was the missing variable: all seven must pass through the portal together. In transit, Dal glimpses a possible future. Wesley's device engulfs the planet in light, and the young crew wake on a sandy world beside the marooned Protostar and a weathered, bearded Chakotay.
