Let Sleeping Borg Lie

Now aware of the Diviner's plan, the crew search the Protostar and find the Living Construct, the weapon he hid in a concealed sub-deck. They can neither destroy nor remove it. When sensors detect a dormant Borg cube nearby, the crew ignore Hologram Janeway's warnings and board it, hoping the Collective's knowledge could disarm the weapon. Zero volunteers to link with the cube's vinculum, trusting their Medusan nature to protect them, but the cube stirs and Zero is assimilated. The others are captured and readied for assimilation. Gwyn returns to rescue them and appeals to Zero's friendship, which breaks the Collective's hold. Zero sends the drones back to sleep and the crew escape. Accepting that the weapon cannot be switched off, they decide to do some good rather than head for Starfleet. Meanwhile, Admiral Janeway finds a relay station destroyed and suspects Chakotay is no longer in command of the Protostar, and the Diviner wakes up aboard the Dauntless.
