Terror Firma

With the Runaway lost, the crew and an injured Gwyn, her fractured leg braced in a cast made from her weapon, must cross ten kilometres of hostile ground to reach the downed Protostar, where Janeway is fighting off invading vines. Jankom dubs it the 'Murder Planet': the terrain shifts around them, creatures attack and acid rain falls as part of the planet's digestion. Sheltering in the wreck of a Klingon Bird-of-Prey, the group share food and talk about where they belong. Drednok arrives and shoots Gwyn's cast, and she urges the others to go on without her. The Diviner then arrives and, seeing what he takes for the Protostar, chooses the ship over his own daughter, but the planet has fooled him with a decoy. The crew reach the real ship and turn back to rescue Gwyn. Zero discovers that the ship's engine is an actual protostar, and they escape at proto-warp, leaving the Diviner behind.
