Dream Catcher

Janeway insists the young crew follow Starfleet practice and explore, so they take the Runaway, a new all-terrain vehicle, down to a lush, uncharted Class M planet. Back on the Protostar, Gwyn uses her programmable weapon to break out of the brig, seizes control of the ship, with Murf still aboard, and sends word to her father's side. On the surface, each crew member is drawn in by something they long for: Rok-Tahk finds adorable creatures, Jankom smells familiar food, Zero glimpses the ship's mysterious engine and Dal meets a version of Janeway. The planet turns out to be a single telepathic organism that uses these lures to trap and digest its prey. Dal sees through the illusion when the false Janeway turns on him, and he frees the others. But as Gwyn tries to fly away, the planet's vines snare the Protostar and drag it down, leaving the whole crew stranded on the hungry world.
