Starstruck

Aboard the Protostar, the training hologram of Captain Janeway, believing the kids are Starfleet cadets, starts teaching them how to run the ship and what the Federation stands for. Rok-Tahk, Jankom and Zero are curious, but self-appointed captain Dal wants nothing to do with his 'holo-nanny'. Exploring the ship, the crew find a mysterious third engine core. Dal then diverts power to the engines and heads for an uncharted point on the star chart, which turns out to be a binary system where a white dwarf is devouring a red giant. Caught in its gravity, the ship is in serious trouble until Dal swallows his pride and asks Janeway for help, and the crew ride the resulting shockwave to safety. Meanwhile Gwyn, the crew's captive, gets loose and clashes with Rok-Tahk, and the Diviner launches his ship, the Rev-12, in pursuit of the Protostar and his daughter.
