No Win Scenario

With the Titan's power almost gone and the ship being dragged towards a gravity well, Riker admits that Picard was right and urges him to spend his remaining time with Jack. In the holodeck, father and son share their stories until Shaw joins them and bitterly recalls surviving the Battle of Wolf 359 as a young engineer, when Picard, assimilated as Locutus, led the Borg against Starfleet. Vadic, herself a Changeling, is ordered to bring Jack in whatever the cost. Beverly realises the nebula is a breeding ground for vast space creatures, and the crew plan to harness an energy surge from their birth to restore power. Shaw and Seven help make it work, and Seven exposes and kills the Changeling hiding aboard. The Titan bursts free, damaging the Shrike on the way out. As they warp away, Picard realises he once met Jack years earlier and brushed him off, while Jack, alone, is haunted by visions and voices.
