Red alert: the full plot, ending included. Haven't watched yet?REVEAL SYNOPSIS
Despite Picard's protests, Tallinn reads the new Queen's message as a call for sacrifice. She uses a holographic disguise to foil Soong's attempt on Renée's life, and dies in Picard's arms as Renée leaves on the Europa mission. Soong returns home to find Kore has deleted his files, though he still has a physical folder marked “Project Khan”. Wesley Crusher recruits Kore to the Travelers, and Rios decides to stay in 2024 with Teresa. Q explains that he hoped Picard would learn to let go of the past and accept love, then uses the last of his power to send Picard, Seven and Raffi home to the Stargazer, where Elnor is alive. Picard stops the self-destruct, recognising the Borg Queen as Agnes, whose collective offers to guard a new transwarp conduit as provisional Federation members. After reuniting with Guinan, Picard goes home and asks Laris for a second chance.
- 01Wil Wheaton returns as Wesley Crusher, last featured in TNG's “Journey's End” apart from a brief cameo in Star Trek Nemesis.
- 02Soong's “Project Khan” file is dated 1992 to 1996. In “Space Seed”, Khan left Earth in 1996 at the end of the Eugenics Wars.
