Hide and Seek

The Queen, Soong and their new drones beam aboard La Sirena, while Picard, Tallinn, Raffi and Seven beam to Chateau Picard. Agnes's consciousness locks the Queen out of the ship's systems until Seven and Raffi arrive, but the Queen mortally wounds Seven. Picard and Tallinn escape Soong and the drones through the tunnels beneath the chateau. There Picard remembers a game of hide-and-seek in those tunnels when his mother suffered a breakdown, shortly before she took her own life. Talking it through with Tallinn helps him come to terms with it. When Soong corners them, Rios beams back and forces him to flee. Agnes persuades the Queen to build a new collective through cooperation rather than assimilation, and becomes a new Borg Queen herself. She saves Seven by adding her to the collective, then leaves in La Sirena for the Delta Quadrant, with a message: there must be two Renées, one who flies and one who dies.
