Red alert: the full plot, ending included. Haven't watched yet?REVEAL SYNOPSIS
Agent Wells tries to make Picard and Guinan confess that they are aliens. When the two are separated, Q visits Guinan and admits that he is dying, and that the trial is a final attempt to give his own life meaning. Guinan shares his message with Picard by astral projection. Wells reveals that as a boy he met aliens he believed wanted to kill him, and Picard explains that they were Vulcans trying only to erase his memory. The FBI dismisses Wells for running an illegal investigation, and Picard and Guinan are freed. Raffi and Seven find the Queen gathering batteries to modify Agnes's body for assimilation, but Agnes forces her to back off. Kore, now aware of what she is, leaves her father with Q's help. The Queen persuades Soong that helping her steal La Sirena will save his legacy, and he gives her a squad of mercenaries to turn into drones.
- 01Picard's FBI file names the assistant director of the Los Angeles field office as Alvin Kersh, the name of an FBI official in The X-Files.
- 02The idea of Vulcans secretly observing Earth before first contact goes back to Enterprise's “Carbon Creek”.
- 03Seven recalls being assimilated as a young child, a story told in Voyager's “The Raven” and “Dark Frontier”.
