Empathalogical Fallacies

T'Lyn, still unhappy about being sent to the Cerritos from the Vulcan ship Sh'vhal, wants a transfer. Meanwhile the ship is carrying three Betazoid diplomats to Risa, and soon the crew are losing control of their feelings, partying, weeping and fighting. Everyone blames the guests, and the doctors suspect Zanthi fever. When Freeman tries to restore order, the three Betazoids reveal they are really intelligence agents and take over the bridge. The true cause turns out to be T'Lyn: the stress of her banishment has triggered Bendii syndrome, and she is projecting her own emotional turmoil across the ship. Mariner helps her see that her old captain judged her unfairly and that she is valued on the Cerritos, and T'Lyn decides to stay. Boimler, meanwhile, spends time with Shaxs's security team and discovers they balance hard training with poetry and relaxation.
