Red alert: the full plot, ending included. Haven't watched yet?REVEAL SYNOPSIS
Soong and the Augments head for Cold Station 12, a facility run by Starfleet Medical and the Denobulans that stores deadly pathogens and around 1,800 Augment embryos left over from the Eugenics Wars. Its head is Dr Jeremy Lucas, Phlox's old friend and pen pal, so Phlox joins Archer's team as Enterprise follows. The Augments seize the station and torture the staff for the vault codes, but Lucas says he does not have them. Archer's away team is captured. Malik kills the deputy director with a pathogen, and when he threatens Phlox with the same death, Lucas gives in. Soong reaches the embryos. Growing ever more ruthless, Malik kills Smike, a less gifted Augment, then steals pathogen samples, beats Archer and sets the station to release every remaining pathogen, leaving the prisoners trapped as time runs out.
