With a deadly radiation storm sweeping towards them, the whole crew must shelter for days in the cramped maintenance catwalk inside the warp nacelle.
Red alert: the full plot, ending included. Haven't watched yet?REVEAL SYNOPSIS
Three alien travellers warn Archer that a vast neutronic wavefront is heading their way, faster than Enterprise can fly. The only shielded place aboard is the catwalk, a maintenance shaft inside the warp nacelle, which is safe only once Tucker has shut the reactor down. The entire crew and their three guests cram in for an eight-day wait, passing the time with cards, books and films as tempers fray. Then Tucker and Archer notice the engines restarting. Tucker braves the storm in an environmental suit and finds that an alien ship has docked and intruders are taking over Enterprise. Phlox discovers the aliens are immune to the radiation. The guests confess they deserted the Takret Militia after learning their commanders were killing other ships' crews, and the militia has come for them. Archer poses as the lone survivor and threatens to fly the ship into a plasma eddy, and the intruders flee. Afterwards Tucker invites T'Pol to movie night.
