Red alert: the full plot, ending included. Haven't watched yet?REVEAL SYNOPSIS
A diamagnetic storm forces Hoshi and Tucker to leave a planet's ruins by transporter, and Hoshi, who dreads the device, reluctantly follows him. Back aboard she feels disoriented, though Phlox puts it down to anxiety. Then things grow stranger. She oversleeps, cannot follow the aliens holding Tucker and Mayweather hostage, and her reflection fades from the mirror. Soon she becomes invisible and intangible, unable to make anyone hear her. She watches her crewmates search for her remains, and sees Archer break the news of her death to her father. She also discovers two aliens secretly planting explosives throughout the ship. Unable to warn anyone, although she manages a signal that T'Pol mistakes for a fault, she disables the bombs herself and follows the intruders to their transporter. Then she materialises on Enterprise's transporter pad. Reed explains she was held in the pattern buffer for 8.3 seconds, and everything she lived through happened in that moment.
- 01Keone Young, who plays Hoshi's father, had previously played Buck Bokai in Deep Space Nine's “If Wishes Were Horses”.
