Vulcan High Command gives T'Pol a secret assignment: bring in a fugitive she failed to catch years ago. She asks Archer to help.
Red alert: the full plot, ending included. Haven't watched yet?REVEAL SYNOPSIS
The Vulcan High Command orders T'Pol to capture Menos, a fugitive who has evaded the authorities for nearly two decades, and she asks Archer for help. She reveals that she once served in a Vulcan security unit sent to bring back undercover agents who had refused to come home, and that Menos was the one who got away. Archer and Mayweather join her to track him down to a tavern on an icy moon, and they take him prisoner. While acidic ice holds them up at the landing site, Menos claims he is now an honest hauler with a family. T'Pol begins to doubt herself as buried memories surface: there was a seventh agent, Jossen, whom she killed, and she had the memory suppressed in a Vulcan ritual. When Menos escapes, they search his ship and find hidden biotoxins, proving his guilt. Menos is handed over to the Vulcans, and T'Pol talks with Archer about facing painful memories.
- 01The title refers both to Jossen, the seventh agent T'Pol forgot, and to its place as the seventh episode of season two.
- 02The Vulcan Ministry of Security was called the V'Shar in The Next Generation's “Gambit, Part II”.
- 03Bruce Davison, who plays Menos, had previously guest starred in the Voyager episode “Remember”.
