Red alert: the full plot, ending included. Haven't watched yet?REVEAL SYNOPSIS
A shuttlepod landing at a Paraagan mining colony ignites the tetrazine in its atmosphere, and the colony is destroyed with the loss of 3,600 lives. Archer takes the blame, and Starfleet orders the Enterprise home, ending its mission, as the Vulcans press for stricter limits on human exploration. Then Archer wakes up ten months in the past, in his San Francisco apartment, before the Enterprise had even launched. Crewman Daniels, the time traveller, explains that the disaster was engineered by the Suliban and gives him the knowledge to prove it. Back in the present, Tucker builds beacons that expose a cloaked Suliban ship, and Archer, T'Pol and Tucker raid it for evidence that a Suliban device caused the explosion. As they escape, dozens of Suliban ships surround the Enterprise and Silik demands Archer's surrender. Before he can give himself up, Daniels pulls him into the 31st century, which lies in ruins.
- 01The first season finale. Archer's trip into the past takes him to the night before the events of “Broken Bow”.
- 02The two-part story was later novelised by Paul Ruditis.
