Red alert: the full plot, ending included. Haven't watched yet?REVEAL SYNOPSIS
Enterprise studies an enormous comet containing a rare mineral, and Reed and Mayweather go down to collect a sample. A Vulcan ship, the Ti'Mur, arrives and keeps watch, much to Archer's irritation. Tucker intercepts an encrypted Vulcan message to T'Pol and, after apologising for reading it, learns that she is promised in an arranged marriage. He becomes her confidant as she weighs returning to Vulcan against staying aboard Enterprise, and she decides to stay. Archer invites the Ti'Mur's Captain Vanik to dinner to break the ice, but the evening goes badly. Then an explosion on the comet alters its spin, the ice gives way, and Reed and Mayweather's shuttlepod begins sliding into a chasm. Enterprise cannot pull it free alone, and Archer must swallow his pride and accept Vanik's help to rescue his crew.
