Perpetual Infinity

Gabrielle Burnham tells her story. When Klingons attacked the family's research outpost, she activated the experimental suit and was flung 950 years into the future, where she found that Control had wiped out all sentient life. The suit always pulls her back to that future, but she has made many trips into the past to change history, including rescuing people from World War III and steering the sphere towards Discovery. Michael struggles with a mother who keeps her at a distance. Gabrielle insists the sphere data must be destroyed, but it resists deletion, so the crew plan to send it into the future with her suit. Meanwhile Leland, infected by Control's nanites, becomes its puppet. Georgiou grows suspicious and turns on him, but Control escapes with part of the data. Gabrielle is pulled back to the future, leaving her daughter behind, and she insists she did not create the seven signals.
