Red alert: the full plot, ending included. Haven't watched yet?REVEAL SYNOPSIS
Still posing as captain of the ISS Shenzhou, Burnham is ordered to wipe out a rebel base on Harlak. Hoping to find allies, she and Tyler beam down instead and meet the resistance: Vulcans, Andorians, Tellarites and Klingons, led by a Klingon known as the Firewolf, the mirror Voq, with a mirror Sarek at his side. Sarek mind-melds with Burnham and confirms she means them no harm. But the encounter shatters Tyler. Voq's personality surfaces, and he admits that he is Voq, surgically altered to pass as human, and that he killed Culber. He attacks Burnham, who has him beamed into space as if executing him, knowing Discovery will pick him up. On Discovery, Saru and Tilly try to heal the comatose Stamets. Before Burnham can save the rebels, the Emperor's flagship destroys the base, and the Emperor reveals herself: the mirror Philippa Georgiou.
- 01To protect the twist, Shazad Latif was credited as Voq under an invented actor's name, “Javid Iqbal”.
- 02Harlak's surface was filmed at Lafarge Quarry, outside Toronto.
