The Delta Flyer crash-lands on a pre-warp world whose culture resembles ancient Greece. B'Elanna wakes after eight days in the care of Kelis, a poet who has been treating her with bloodletting and who comes to believe she is one of the Eternals, the gods of his people. Needing supplies to repair the Flyer, B'Elanna makes a deal: in return for materials, she tells Kelis stories about Voyager and its crew, which he turns into plays for his wealthy patron. As war threatens, B'Elanna attends a performance and helps Kelis shape a new drama with a message of peace, drawing on the Borg and on Starfleet's ideals. Harry Kim, meanwhile, has trekked some 200 kilometres from his escape pod to find her, and together they restore power to a transmitter and contact Voyager. During the play's finale, B'Elanna is beamed away in front of the astonished audience, seeming to ascend like a true Eternal.
