Red alert: the full plot, ending included. Haven't watched yet?REVEAL SYNOPSIS
Voyager rescues three Ilari from a failing ship, but one, Tieran, dies in sickbay. Soon afterwards Kes ends her relationship with Neelix, then kills an Ilari official and a crewman before fleeing with the two survivors, Nori and Adin. The truth emerges: Tieran, a tyrant overthrown two centuries ago, has survived by moving his mind from body to body, and he has now taken over Kes. Using her knowledge and her growing telepathic powers, he kills the reigning Autarch, seizes power and takes the Autarch's youngest son hostage. Janeway refuses to sacrifice Kes and plans a rescue with the help of Demmas, the rightful heir. A mind meld with Tuvok shows that Kes is still fighting back inside. When the Doctor's synaptic stimulator is brought to bear, Tieran leaps into a new host, Ameron, but Kes uses the device to destroy him for good. Kes is free, but knows she will never be quite the same.
