Touch of Grey

The Doctor treats Wesley's injuries, but his Traveler powers have been knocked out for now, and he struggles without them until Janeway reminds him that he was a fine Starfleet officer first. Janeway, Chakotay, the Doctor and Wesley then launch a bold rescue on Solum, where Asencia plans to feed the captive Protostar crew to a creature from the Loom that she holds prisoner. The Doctor even disguises himself as Janeway to keep Asencia distracted. Meanwhile the cadets realise the creature is a captive, not a weapon, and choose to free it instead of fighting it. The rescue succeeds, liberating both the crew and the creature. Ilthuran calls on his people to rise up against Asencia's tyranny, and Solum descends into civil war. Reminded that boldness is not only for the young, Janeway agrees to help save Solum from Asencia, even though stepping into the conflict violates the Prime Directive.
