Time Amok

The failed first contact has left the crew bickering, and Janeway's team-building exercise collapses into chaos, prompting Dal to confess that they are not really Starfleet cadets. Meanwhile Nandi has told the Diviner where the Protostar is, and he hacks the ship's vehicle replicator to build a copy of Drednok. When a tachyon storm destabilises the proto-drive, time fractures, trapping each crew member in a timeframe running at its own speed, with a warp core breach minutes away. Janeway, able to move between the time zones, guides each of them to play a part in building a warp matrix. Gwyn ejects the Drednok copy into space, but the matrix is lost with it. Rok-Tahk, stuck in a pocket of time far out of step with the others, spends a vast stretch alone mastering science and engineering, restores Janeway's program and builds a working matrix. Time snaps back and the crew celebrate, but the Drednok copy's eye glows red.
