Exile

As T'Pol works out where a second sphere should lie, Hoshi is contacted telepathically by Tarquin, an alien who says he can read the history of objects by touch and offers to help locate the Xindi. In exchange he asks that Hoshi stay with him at his isolated home while he studies a fragment of the Xindi weapon. He appears to her in human form and is gracious, but Hoshi learns that he has been watching her through her mind for some time, and finds the graves of four earlier companions outside. While Enterprise investigates the sphere using a shuttlepod insulated with trellium-D, Tarquin tries to persuade Hoshi to remain with him for good. She threatens to destroy the device that amplifies his telepathy, and he lets her go, giving her the coordinates of a Xindi colony. T'Pol, meanwhile, concludes that there may be around fifty spheres scattered through the Expanse.
