Andorians and Vulcans are close to war over a disputed planet, and Shran will accept only one mediator: Captain Archer.
Red alert: the full plot, ending included. Haven't watched yet?REVEAL SYNOPSIS
The Andorians and Vulcans both claim a small planet, Weytahn to one side and Paan Mokar to the other. Shran has reoccupied an Andorian settlement there and taken Vulcan hostages, and he will negotiate only through Archer. Archer and T'Pol set off for the surface with Ambassador Soval, a reluctant participant, but their shuttlepod is shot down and each side blames the other. Stranded in hostile ground, the party comes under fire and Soval is wounded. Meanwhile Tucker, in command of Enterprise, keeps the rival warships apart. Archer discovers that Tarah, Shran's trusted lieutenant, has been sabotaging the talks because she will not accept peace with the Vulcans. Shran has her arrested, a ceasefire takes hold, and both sides agree to keep talking, equally dissatisfied with the terms. Soval acknowledges Archer's help.
- 01Suzie Plakson's Tarah is described by Wikipedia as the first female Andorian seen in Star Trek.
- 02Continues the Vulcan and Andorian conflict from “The Andorian Incident” and “Shadows of P'Jem”.
- 03In 2015 Scott Bakula and Dominic Keating both named it among their favourite episodes.
