Red alert: the full plot, ending included. Haven't watched yet?REVEAL SYNOPSIS
The crew is due a rest on Risa when Admiral Forrest sends the Enterprise to the planet Mazar instead, to collect the Vulcan ambassador V'Lar, who has been expelled amid accusations of misconduct, and take her to a Vulcan ship. T'Pol has revered V'Lar for years and is shaken by the charges, and surprised by the ambassador's warmth. When Mazarite ships attack, demanding her return, Archer insists on knowing what is really going on. V'Lar admits that her reputation was deliberately ruined to discredit her as a witness against corrupt figures on Mazar, and that going back would mean her death. Pursued by three Mazarite vessels, Enterprise pushes to warp five. When the Mazarites finally board, Phlox hides V'Lar and claims she is gravely injured, buying time until the Vulcan cruiser Sh'Raan arrives and forces the attackers to stand down. V'Lar departs, remarking on the bond she sees between Archer and T'Pol.
