Under the Twin Moons

Rayner faces an inquiry over his conduct on Q'mau and is pushed out of command of the Antares. Discovery follows Vellek's journal to Lyrek, home to a Promellian necropolis, and Burnham and Saru beam down for what will be Saru's final mission as first officer. Inside they must outwit ancient defences and puzzles, and Saru's Kelpien spines prove useful against attacking drones. They uncover a fragment of a map and a hidden Romulan poem, which the crew decodes as pointing to Trill. Book, meanwhile, realises that Moll is the daughter of his late mentor, Cleveland Booker, and reaches out to her, but she rebuffs him. Tilly, now an instructor at Starfleet Academy, wonders whether she is really reaching her cadets. Saru shares an emotional farewell with Burnham, and Burnham offers Rayner a second chance as her new first officer, which he accepts.
