Terra Firma, Part 2

In the Mirror Universe, Georgiou tries to steer the Terran Empire in a new direction, but her rule is challenged and Mirror Burnham remains hostile. Georgiou attempts to reach her daughter, softening her approach and giving her an orb of fireflies, a memory from the prime universe. Burnham appears to reconcile, then betrays her. In a brutal fight, Georgiou is forced to kill Burnham and is herself mortally wounded. As she dies, she wakes again on Dannus V. Carl reveals that he is the Guardian of Forever and that her journey was a test of whether she had truly changed. Having passed, she is offered a way to survive: travelling through the Guardian to a time when the universes are close enough for her to heal. After an emotional farewell with Burnham, Georgiou steps through the portal, and the Discovery crew hold a memorial for her.
