Red alert: the full plot, ending included. Haven't watched yet?REVEAL SYNOPSIS
Amanda Grayson arrives aboard Discovery with Spock's stolen medical files, revealing that he has fled a psychiatric facility and is wanted for killing three of his doctors. Burnham admits to Amanda that she pushed Spock away when they were children, and Amanda leaves hurt and angry. Tilly's visions of May grow worse until she collapses, and the crew discover that a spore-based organism from the asteroid has latched on to her. They extract it and hold it in containment. On Qo'noS, L'Rell's rule is under threat and Ash Tyler is mistrusted. Kol-Sha, father of Kol, uses the son L'Rell secretly had with Voq to try to seize power, and takes them captive. Georgiou, now an agent of Section 31, helps to free them. To secure L'Rell's position, Tyler and the baby are presented as dead: the boy is hidden with monks on Boreth, Tyler leaves with Section 31, and L'Rell takes the title of Mother.
- 01Kenneth Mitchell, who played Kol in season 1, plays Kol's father, Kol-Sha.
- 02Klingons now grow hair again. Makeup designer Glenn Hetrick drew on a speech in TNG's “Rightful Heir”, in which Kahless makes the first bat'leth from a lock of his own hair.
- 03The title likely refers to Boreth: in TNG's “Rightful Heir”, Kahless told his people to look for him on “that point of light”.
