Into the Forest I Go

Starfleet orders Discovery away from Pahvo, but Lorca stays to protect the Pahvans and to crack the Klingon cloaking device. Burnham and Tyler beam aboard Kol's flagship to plant sensors, while Stamets must make 133 rapid spore drive jumps to map the cloak. Aboard the Klingon ship they find Cornwell alive, held near L'Rell, and the sight of L'Rell sends Tyler into flashbacks of his torture and abuse in captivity. To buy time, Burnham challenges Kol to single combat as T'Kuvma's killer. The jumps succeed, despite the toll on Stamets. Burnham, Tyler, Cornwell and L'Rell, who says she wants to defect, are beamed back, and Discovery destroys the flagship. Stamets agrees to one final jump to take the ship home, saying it will be his last. Lorca secretly alters the coordinates, and Discovery emerges in an unknown place, surrounded by wreckage.
