Trials and Tribble-ations

Sisko explains to two agents from the Department of Temporal Investigations how the Defiant, carrying the Bajoran Orb of Time, was thrown more than a century into the past. Arriving near Deep Space Station K-7 and Captain Kirk's Enterprise, the crew realise that their passenger, a supposedly human trader, is the Klingon agent Arne Darvin, who has come back seeking revenge. Dressed in period uniforms, they search the station and the Enterprise for him, with Bashir, O'Brien, Worf and Odo caught up in a famous bar-room brawl along the way. They catch Darvin, but his bomb is hidden inside a tribble, aimed at Kirk. Sisko and Dax track Kirk to a grain storage compartment filled with tribbles, find the device and beam it safely into space. Before they use the Orb to return home, Sisko takes a moment to meet Kirk. The investigators let the crew off with a warning, but the Promenade is soon overrun with tribbles.
