Red alert: the full plot, ending included. Haven't watched yet?REVEAL SYNOPSIS
Travelling alone to Risa for shore leave, Geordi La Forge is seized by the Romulans, who use his VISOR to brainwash him and send him back with false memories of a relaxing break. The Enterprise, meanwhile, carries Klingon ambassador Kell to the colony of Krios, where Governor Vagh accuses the Federation of arming the rebels fighting Klingon rule. Federation weapons have indeed been found, and the evidence points to Starfleet. Under hidden commands, Geordi secretly beams more weapons to the rebels and is being readied to assassinate Vagh. Data grows suspicious, detects unusual E-band emissions and proves that Geordi never reached Risa. Worf stops Geordi just before he can fire. Data works out that whoever is controlling him must be close by, narrowing the suspects to Picard or Kell. Kell's sudden plea for asylum gives him away as the Romulans' agent, and Geordi is left to come to terms with what was done to him.

- 03Larry Dobkin, who plays Kell, directed the original series episode “Charlie X”.
