Answering a distress call near the Neutral Zone, the Enterprise rescues three Klingon survivors, and Worf finds himself drawn to warriors who seem to embody everything he believes a Klingon should be.
Red alert: the full plot, ending included. Haven't watched yet?REVEAL SYNOPSIS
Near the Neutral Zone, an away team boards a crippled Talarian freighter and rescues three Klingons: Korris, Konmel and the badly wounded Kunivas, who soon dies in sickbay. The survivors claim they were attacked, but the truth is darker. They seized the freighter themselves, and its damage came from a battle with a Klingon ship. They are renegades who feel their empire has grown soft and long to live as true warriors. Worf, raised among humans, finds their passion stirring something in him. When a Klingon battle cruiser commanded by K'Nera arrives to take them home, Korris and Konmel break out of the brig with a disruptor they have secretly assembled. Konmel is killed, and Korris holds Engineering hostage, threatening to destroy the warp core. Worf faces him alone, rejects his offer of a true Klingon life and kills him, then tells K'Nera that the rebels died well.
