Ouroboros, Part II

Guarded by Voyager, the Protostar launches into the wormhole, and the Doctor backs up Hologram Janeway for Chakotay's sake. The ship lands safely on Tars Lamora, resolving the time paradox and sending the Loom back to their own dimension. In the aftermath Janeway leads an official first contact mission with the Vau N'Akat, Wesley visits his mother and meets his little brother Jack, and Chakotay takes command of Voyager as Janeway retires. The cadets enrol at Starfleet Academy, but on First Contact Day an attack on Mars changes everything. Janeway is recalled to active duty and has a new Protostar-class ship, the USS Prodigy, commissioned as a training vessel for her former crew, who receive field commissions as ensigns. Dal hands the captaincy to Gwyn and becomes her first officer, and Hologram Janeway joins them aboard as an Emergency Command Hologram.
