Red alert: the full plot, ending included. Haven't watched yet?REVEAL SYNOPSIS
Captain Freeman brings the Cerritos to Deep Space 9 to oversee post-war trade negotiations with the Karemma, a Gamma Quadrant species, with Colonel Kira in command of the station. Mariner struggles to win over her girlfriend Jennifer's snobbish friends, while Tendi and Rutherford meet Mesk, an Orion officer on the station who loves the idea of pirate life but knows little about it. When the talks sour, the Karemma appear to kidnap Quark and disable the station's systems, trapping everyone wherever they happen to be. Mariner loses patience and stuns Jennifer's irritating friends, then learns that Jennifer likes her best when she is simply herself. Tendi draws on her own Orion pirate upbringing to stop the kidnappers, and Mesk admits he actually grew up on Earth. The truth emerges that Quark had stolen Karemma technology for his replicators, and Freeman brokers a deal giving the Karemma 76 percent of his profits.
