The Xindi weapon is closing on Earth. Archer's team must stop it from the inside, while T'Pol leads Enterprise against the Sphere-Builders' network.
Red alert: the full plot, ending included. Haven't watched yet?REVEAL SYNOPSIS
As the weapon nears Earth, Archer, Reed, Hoshi and a MACO team chase it in Degra's ship, while T'Pol takes Enterprise to the key sphere, battling lethal spatial distortions to reach it. Daniels briefly shows Archer the founding of the Federation, urging him not to risk his life, but Archer presses on. Shran arrives with Andorian ships to clear a Reptilian vessel from the team's path, and they board the weapon. Archer stays to finish the job, fights Dolim and destroys the weapon; Reed and Hoshi escape, but the captain is presumed lost. Enterprise destroys the sphere, and the whole network collapses. Returning home, the crew cannot contact Earth, and Tucker and Mayweather's shuttlepod is attacked by World War II fighter planes. On Earth, Archer lies wounded in a German field hospital, and the SS officer examining him is revealed to be an alien.
- 01The Nazi twist at the end began as a joke in the writers' room. Brannon Braga said he could not remember who first suggested Nazis.
- 02The last Enterprise episode shot on film before the series switched to digital video for season four.
- 03To protect the ending, Dominic Keating said the final scene's script arrived in three envelopes, with a security guard and a dog.
