Searching for a way to protect the ship from the Expanse's anomalies, Archer visits a floating bazaar on an ocean world and buys liquid trellium-D from the merchant B'Rat, who mentions that the Xindi have recently been there. At the market Archer also rescues a woman, Rajiin, from a slaver named Zjod, and brings her aboard Enterprise as a refugee. Rajiin soon visits Archer in his quarters and places him in a trance, leaving him with no memory of the encounter. She later confronts T'Pol in her quarters and is caught. It emerges that Rajiin has been working for the Xindi-Reptilians. Two Xindi ships attack Enterprise and retrieve her, escaping through a subspace vortex. The biological data she gathered aboard, including information taken from Archer, is handed to the Xindi, who begin to develop a new bioweapon aimed at humanity.
