Mistaken for smugglers, Archer and Tucker are arrested and shipped off on a prison transport bound for a harsh penal colony.
Red alert: the full plot, ending included. Haven't watched yet?REVEAL SYNOPSIS
Leaving the Enolian homeworld, Archer and Tucker are wrongly arrested as smugglers and put aboard a prison transport bound for the penal colony of Canamar. Among their fellow prisoners are a hardened convict named Kuroda and a Nausicaan. T'Pol finds their abandoned shuttlepod and convinces an Enolian official they are innocent, but before they can be freed Kuroda overpowers the guards and seizes the transport. When Enolian patrol ships attack, Archer persuades Kuroda to let Tucker help, and Tucker's plasma trick lets the ship escape to warp. Kuroda comes to respect Archer, tells him he was jailed unjustly as a teenager and turned to crime afterwards, and invites him to join him. But when Archer learns Kuroda means to destroy the transport after a rendezvous, he and Tucker turn against him. Tucker deals with the Nausicaan, the ship falls into a decaying orbit, and Reed and Mayweather board to rescue the prisoners. Kuroda refuses to leave.
- 01The idea grew from an early plan for “Judgment”, in which the crew would rescue Archer from a prison transport. Brannon Braga liked it enough to develop it separately.
- 02Brian Tyler composed the score. His temp track impressed the producers, and he asked for a full tour of the sets.
- 03Nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Prosthetic Makeup for a Series.
