Second Skin

Kira learns that Cardassian records show her detained by Cardassians years ago, something she has no memory of. While investigating, she is abducted and wakes on Cardassia, surgically altered to look Cardassian. Entek of the Obsidian Order tells her she is really Iliana Ghemor, a deep-cover agent whose Bajoran identity and memories were implanted. She is introduced to Iliana's father, Legate Tekeny Ghemor, who greets her lovingly. Kira resists the story, but the evidence seems overwhelming. In time it emerges that the real target is Ghemor himself, whom the Order suspects of being a dissident and hopes to expose through his 'daughter'. Ghemor helps Kira escape, and Sisko, Odo and Garak arrive to rescue them both. Kira's Bajoran identity is confirmed, while Ghemor clings to the hope that his real daughter is still alive.
