Red alert: the full plot, ending included. Haven't watched yet?REVEAL SYNOPSIS
Bashir and O'Brien spend a week helping the T'Lani and the Kellerun, two peoples ending a long war, to destroy their stockpiles of harvesters, a lethal biological weapon. As the last batch is neutralised, Kellerun soldiers storm the laboratory. The two officers escape to the surface, but O'Brien has been contaminated with the harvester agent and grows steadily sicker while Bashir tends him. The ambassadors tell Sisko that both men died in an accident and show a recording to prove it. Keiko is not convinced, insisting that her husband never drinks coffee in the afternoon. Sisko and Dax investigate and find that the runabout's logs have been altered. The two governments, determined to wipe out all knowledge of the harvesters, try to finish the job, but Sisko beams his officers to safety. Back home, Keiko learns Miles does drink afternoon coffee after all.
